Hi guys today i will share with you, a basic way to rename the Outlook Express .dbx folder name. Some of you maybe cannot delete your email in your Inbox. This happens when the size for the Deleted Item is already full or exits its capacity.
Well, so how we going to overcome this problem? There are few easy steps you need to follow as below:
First of all need to check where the Store location of our email is.
1. Go to Tools --> Options --> Maintenance --> Store Folder
2. Open the store location
3. Go back to Microsoft Outlook Express; at the folders bar create a New Folder name it as Deleted Items – Old
4. You will notice a new folder name Deleted Item – Old will be created
5. Click one time on the new created folder and than click on other folder. The reason we do this steps is to enable the Outlook Express create a Deleted Items – Old.dbx at store location
6. Go to store location and you will notice the new Deleted Items – Old.dbx have been created
7. Right click on the Deleted Items – Old.dbx and select rename. Copy the name, please remember the name must be same as the folder name we created in Folders Bar.
8. After copy the name delete the newly created Deleted Items – Old.dbx
9. Right click on the existing Deleted Items.dbx and rename the file to Deleted Items – Old.dbx
10. Go back to your Outlook Express, all you emails in previous Deleted Items folder will be move to Deleted Items – Old folder.
And now you can start deleting you email.
